(more then 60 of them).. but we are looking at some hotter places to live lol.. so looking for some insite on good locations, economy, housing etc.. i know houses are going for pretty cheap as i've looked at that allready.. only thing now is about a job.. currently work for time warner cable which AZ doesn't have to my knowledge.. i can work anywhere though, pretty wellrounded.. sooner or later wanted to open up my own gym and also get into body and painting work.. so what do ya guys think.. just let me know how living out there is.. hey if anyone also has job openings i wouldn't mind looking into it aswell..

DC Metro area Snows considerably less than in NY, has a good Lotus community, and decent job market.

Moved to the phoenix area about 14 months ago from Utah. I really like this place-- NO SNOW- next week the weather is suppose to be in the mid to upper 60's. Not to zoned in on the economy and such but I like it here and Lotus of North Scottsdale is here of course and those guys ROCK! my 2cts!!

Phoenix is HELL in the Summer (May-November!). It's only topped by Yuma, Lake Havasu and the DEATH VALLEY!
If you've never felt your shoes melt on the asphalt before, come and check it out!

Tucson is about 5F-10F cooler (still f'in hot) but much more limited job wise (cowtown)

Like all states, jobs are scarce and will continue to be for a while.

If you like the outdoors, you'll love it. there's tons of stuff to do year round.
Good luck with your decision.

Lived in Phoenix for a year. Too hot, no culture, no fun roads, no green just shades of brown. There are areas of the Southwest that are nice.

Job situation in Arizona is probably like the rest of the country... it sucks. I've been out of work for 16 months.

Phoenix can be very hot... I've seen it hit 125 F. It's not too bad when the temperatures are below 105 F because it's very dry.

There are plenty of fun roads. It just takes a while to get to them.

There is plenty of green if you go to the mountains ... Flagstaff, White Mountains, Prescott, etc.

House prices have dropped ~25% from two years ago.

I've lived here since 1980.
