A couple of my favorites...

For a shorter run, head out to Bartlett Lake. Nothing much to do out there, but you can head back to Cave Creek for a pint at the Satisfied Frog. For a longer trip, try a breakfast run out to Christopher Creek.

Thanks, I'll try them out.

I took a quick trip up to Canyon Lake this morning. I wanted to get to roosevelt lake but the road turned into dirt. I did happen to stop for a few seconds and snap a pic.

Nice Pic! I was thinking of driving out to that exact spot to take a few pics of my Elise.

I live in Gilbert, also. To do the Roosevelt loop from this side of town, it's best to head out the 60 towards Globe and hang a left on 188 Roosevelt. That will take you past Roosevelt to 87 where you can make a left to head back home or a right if you want to blast up to Payson.

Also, you can head out the 60 to Superior and make a right on 177 to Winkleman, then left on 77 back to the 60 East of Globe. Returning to and from Globe is always a fun road. And when there's snow in the winter, about the only choice route we have is an out and back to Winkleman on 177 due to the lower elevations.

If you're real adventurous and have a weekend to kill the trip out 60-70 thru Globe to Safford and up old Devil's highway (180) to Alpine and back thru N. Mexico has probably some of the sickest roads in the US. It's a long for sure, but the roads and views are incredible.

Maybe we can get together for a drive or just to hang out and BS about our cars!
