I've always had a soft spot for Elises and when I spotted this on the strip (in Las Vegas) yesterday, my heart broke a little:

I hope the owner gets some sense and puts the stock wheels back on...

HA! I saw the same car in Vegas on a business trip. I was driving a rental. They guy pulled into a gas station with his bling 20s.

I said: how do you like the lotus?
Owner: it's cool (not much enthusiasm.
I said: I got a CO Exige.
And I guess his passenger friend didn't believe so he asked me "how much did you pay for it?"
I said: about 64 out the door.
He said: okay and they took off.

Pretty douchey boys and damn ugly wheels. You bet they ain't on e.t.

Yeah it's a rental at a cheesy place right by where the picture was taken. Somewould rent it and take out the insurance..."I just came out from dinner and it was sitting on base wheels? someone must have stolen the chromies"

What a shame.
Just like they shouldn't make spandex in some of the sized they do, it should be illegal to make blingy chrome wheels in the Lotus bolt pattern.

Chrome wheels are for Vettes. (well GM seems to think so anyway)
