Well, that's a relief! I did think it was wierd that all of us were trying to run each other over.

By the way, if your girlfriend was my ref, she is pretty cute. If not, she may still be cute, but I don't remember the other refs.

Ok two things - where/how are all you Lotus guys playing Volleyball? Dave, Mike, Phil...

Secondly - who was driving either a Silver/Titanium/Graphite Elise with black softtop eastbound up the hill on Shawnee Mission Parkway towards I-435 about 4:50pm today?

I was driving my wife's silver BMW running the other direction and said "Hey!"

I thought I knew all the cars here!

I play Thursday evenings w/ a KC Ski Club league and Sundays (starting October) at Tomahawk Ridge (119th & Lowell). I'm not as good as I used to be. Getting old is hell! I am signed up for the Kansas over 60 tourney the end of this month. It seems to be the only exercise I get anymore.

Dave, since the thread merge the Kansas City area list is hard to find. I think maybe page 7? Babak, can you move it to the beginning of the thread? Dave, we need to add rudaire and maybe that Silver/Titanium/Graphite you saw.

Maybe this will help for a while: http://www.elisetalk.com/forums/show...&postcount=133
It is page 7 and post #133 in this thread.

Why is KC so monochrome? When Scott gets his blue sold mine will be the only one in the city with some color.

Probably my wife if it was GG. She got the car that day and works over there.

I'd be down for a breakfast in KC.

I didn't go to LOG. Be back home tomorrow very very late.

I will say a cautious 'aye' to breaky on the 15th, I need to look at the call schedule. I'm sure I'm going to get hammered for a few weeks after horse trading a couple weeks off call. But I will try to make it, Larry town would be easier for me if I'm on call.

The new Europa is a good looking car in person and rides well, quick as sin too specially after the turbo kicks in at 3k.

I just returned from a long vacation last night, and she told me the story of your meeting.. While it's pronounced Greta, it's spelled Grete. I'd love to bring her saturday, but she's in a running club and they meet every saturday morning..

Looking forward to meeting you guys.

Yeah I think it's going to be a spouse/other half optional event. I know my wife has no interest whatsoever.

I am tempted however to bring my 5 year old daughter just because she's freak out when she saw all the "Daddy cars" in one place

TRACK DAY EVENT MAM

Hey Everyone-

Dave and I putting together a very informal track day at MAM on 9/28. It's "Fast Fridays". The cost is 80 bucks, there is no membership fee required, so it's just the 80 bucks
It's about 2-3 hours away depending on stops, etc. We have a full half day which goes from 1PM to 7Pm. We're planning on leaving KC around 8:45AM.

We're partly doing this becasue HPT is and has cancelled so many track days and MAM is a much more interesting course. There are no walls so it's also a great place to go if your worried about crashing the car. The only thing to it is corn field

Hope you can make it. Please post if you can.

Best,

Phil

I stopped by Le Peep at lunch today and told them to expect 8-10 cars and between 10 and 20 people.

Can we get a better headcount?

Post here and let me know if you have a passenger or not

I'll start... I was going to take Hailey but she'd be too distracting for me to actually have fun and socialize.

8 cars, 11 people.

1. David "darkSol" Stewart (graphite)
2. Phil "TurboPhil" (graphite)
3. Mike "MikeRoberts44" (red)
4-5. Jeremiah "jlj3394" & wife (graphite)
6-7. Ben "noel_audio" & friend (black)
8. David "rudaire" (white)
9-10. Eric "flyinaroundstl" & friend (silver)
11. Bobby "Babak" (chrome orange)

Oh... Lisa? (silver)

(I'll update this post as replies come in)

BTW, I found out that the Porsche club meets there at 7am and usually leaves just before 9am. It should make for an interesting parking lot melee
