Saw a new lotus in town

i do have the strangest experiences on the Metcalf ramp when i go in at 8:00. The first was sitting next to the "IMAGEEK" tag. Today I was next to a burgandy Elise. I asked if he was one of the "new guys" and he didn't seem to know what I was talking about.

Looks like the car came out of Florida (dealer name was around the plate). Anyone know who we're missing?

I did shout for him to look this up on lotustalk -- so we all might just have to wait and see...

Well perhaps he'll show up...

New Guy- PM me if you see this thread

Everyone else:

I'll see ya'll 10,11ish tomorrow- whatever works fine with me.

I'll be out in the shop early in the morning. I was up till 3am this morning machining a bracket for Dave's boot lid mod. Of course I was getting tired and messed it up, so I have to start over At least the drawings are done, and it's always fun to watch the aluminum chips fly off the mill so it's not the end of the world

Best,

Phil

One day I may need to show up

At this point I have 700 miles (after 4 months ), the engine light just came on so I need to take it to St. Louis

I'm a little fearful that they may say I've been too high up on the rev limit and give me a bunch of crap..... if they do it looks like it's balls out

Good lord man, don't take it to St. Louis for that Have Darksol or me pull the codes. It's probably something like loose fuel cap or something....

And to all:

Track day this Wednesday! Hope to see you there

Best,

Phil

Heartland Park Topeka : Where the Best Come to Play!

Ya gotta be at Heartland park by 4 to get the full day in. I'll be there early setting up my little pit area. If it's your first time, you'll need instruction, and I happen to be instructing on Wednesday Your first time will cost 80 bucks and we run until dark. You can pre register at HPT.com under roadcourse and then touring days... Actually, they may be closed for pre-regsitering tomorrow, but you can register at the gate for sure. If you want, you can crusie up with us and we'll show you the ropes...

You need a Snell helmet. If you don't have one, you can use one of mine, 7 1/4" head. Doesn't need to be a perfect fit, just something to get you by since you'll be in the novice group...

You won't be doing anything that will void your warranty from and ECU dump standpoint.

You should come. It's a great time!

Best,

Phil

Thank you for the help today guys!

Phil,
For some reason I pictured you as a 50ish year old guy with gray hair???

Some day I will make it out to the track and you can show me what it can do.

Thanks again!!

Good meeting you Craig! You have a fantastic looking car. You really need to try out that track pack

Regarding the hair, you just caught me in the best of circumstances... If the sun were out it would shine right through what little hair I have, exposing my frequently sun-burnt scalp-- and then perhaps you wouldn't be so surprised

Best,

Phil

I saw some boxes on one of your shelves, when it comes time to reorder let me know.
We make about 200,000 a day and you have better things to spend your money on.

How was the day at the track? Photos?

OK who are you?!

I just had dinner with my wife and kids (took the minivan, no Elise) at Blue Moose at 151st & Nall from 6:30pm to 7:45pm. When I walked out my 4 year old Madison yelled "Daddy's car! Daddy's car!"

But it wasn't my car... it was a 2007 (or 2008) Phantom Black Exige S parked about 5 cars away...

So REVEAL YOURSELF! Come hang out with the cool cats!

Howdy all!

I'm getting a clam replaced here in the near future. Someone (sorry can't remember who Phil? Dave?) had asked if they could get a piece or two sprayed. I'm all for it, just let me know.

If anyone else needs anything sprayed, I'll probably take it in sometime in the next two weeks. I'm currently debating how long I want to be without the car...and when...

If you don't already have someone in mind, you might give Joe Pace (816) 616-7223 a call. I have never had him do any fiberglass work, but he is very talented. He took 20+ hail dents out of my DeLorean some years ago when the insurance company wanted to replace all the body panels. He works out of his house now, so is quite reasonable. His garage looks like TurboPhil's set up for painting. Interesting guy, too!

Not sure what sounds interesting -- but i did just move and think there's no better way to break in a neighborhood than park about 10 elises up and down a street

I love dancing banana emotes.

Agreed - But not to steal the show, how about Lawrence?

I'm in my garage taking apart my dash and was thinking the same thing, but my glass is still on order, SHOULD BE released tomorrow (13th)! And then something like another 2-3 weeks before it shows up in Lawrence. So I figured I would do a little stereo upgrading, since that's about the limit of my car knowledge.
So as I was pulling off velcro, loosing screws, breaking airbag clips and cutting myself on aluminum I thought, man I wonder what people are up to next weekend.....
So here's an invite to my house/garage next Sunday, maybe someone could pick me up and we could do a little brunch downtown?
Thoughts?
Noel

Dancing banana's make me smile too

I'll be at the PCA event at Heartland all weekend. Love to see you guys out there. May not be too late to register for anyone wanting some really good track time with instruction!

Best,

Phil

FS: JL Audio 5 1/4" TR Cxi with Jim's Spacers

Anyone local want this setup? Could part with for $60. You just need a little saw and pliers to install them
Hoping to get my car from the glass shop TOMORROW! Got the glass in today. Awesome stuff. Might get to drive it once before it snows
