Group order for 300RR wide body kit

Hey guys,

Just thought I would let you all know that I WILL be ordering the 300RR kit and I was wondering if you wanted to group buy. I see you guys out all the time especially MikeVR. I have seen you once Autoworks and another guy in a red one. This is probably the best chance to go wide body that we will get for a reasonable price. Lets make the first shipment together and save on shipping and take the total price of the first purchase down overall. I will be ordering for sure so just let me know if you want in and I will try to work with Saint for a group purchase.

HI represent!!!!

By the way, when are we all gonna start getting together? We need to have a club out here.

Granted you are in Hawaii you will save on shipping and overall cost. The savings is depending on how many of us order. The more the better. If you are not from HI and still want the kit that is great too. The more people that make the first shippment the cheaper. The link covers the current cost I am just one of 13 that are currently buying at this point. If you are from HI I will be setting up a group purchase.

Thanks for your interest,
Josh

I don't know, guys. I just trashed my front clam, so I'm definitely in the market, but I have major concerns. Changing the offset as much as you're talking about will have concerns on handling. Having worked with aftermarket clams before, and knowing what goes into making the factory clams fit properly makes me a bit leery as well. Not to mention the obvious aero concerns. Also, I have power concerns with the considerably wider rubber. Anyone know what size tires Lotus is running on the one-off car?

TIA for addressing these issues.

Thanks,

Alan

-The kit is for the Elise but they are trying to help the Exige guys too.

-Front 9.5 Rear 10.5

This is a perfect chance guys. Are any of you in Hawaii? The original post that I have put in the first post here is a great source of info on the kit. Please check it out and I think you will find it as tempting as I did. If you want in feel free to PM me.

Based on info online, here's what the prototype 300RR was running:

Wheels
F - 8.8J x 17 ET40
R - 11.25J x 18 ET50

Tires
F - 250/610-17
R - 280/650-18

Serebo1, did you trash the clam that night at Electric Lotus in the driveway?

Josh,

I AM in Hawaii, but not up for the 300RR. If you do get the kit, I'm up for buying your current front and rear aero bits.

See your car working it's way thru Waikiki every so often.

Pulled across the street to wait for CJ and Patrick outside the church parking lot in which they parked, crept up the driveway to turn around. Apparently, the church had just uprooted a tree tearing up the sidewalk in the process. There was no light, and with the angle I couldn't see the torn up portions of concrete jutting up from the ground. Less than 2 mph, probably closer to .5 mph, just enough off the clutch and on the gas to creep forward slowly, when BANG! Sounded like a 20 mph collision. The concrete caught the splitter, and torn the front clam from the bottom all the way up to over the radiator intake. Bummer. Obviously, no one hurt, but if they don't fix that sidewalk, someone walking along at night is going to trip and possibly get hurt.

I'm afraid to ask what it's going to cost to replace a matte black clam!!

Hey Josh - long time, no type!

I saw the offer, seems very inexpensive for what is promised...Which means people are leery (me included). I wish I could see the product prior to ordering - Any chance someone has pics of the actual product (not the Lotus one-off) on a customer car? I think that would go a long way to dispel worries. I like being able to mount wide tires, but dread the steering effort necessary to turn them!

Are the wheel sizes listed in the thread without spacers or any other additions???

Well as Randy mentioned that tread says alot more about the project. I just got a PM from the Saint. I guess that he sold his car. The project needs a new person to lead it. Since we are in HI I doubt that would work for you or me. I'm still interested once they finally figure out what is going on but for now I ordered a bunch of CF stuff to keep me busy. Hey we seriously need to get a club going here. Let me know what you think about it.

Sold his car? That doesn't give me much confidence, then. What CF parts did you order?
