09 Track Days in or around Ohio - LotusTalk

I have been trying to research and find sources for track days in or around Ohio for 09 and not really coming up with much.

Any insight would be great!

You may want to check out the driving schools given by PCA, BMWCCA, and SCCA PDX events. Lots of events at MidOH. You may already find these schools consolidated on some of the driving school websites mentioned above.

Where in Ohio are you? There is a new roadcoarse just south of Cincy that looks very nice. Dates are not posted but like someone else said, look at BMW, Porsche etc clubs.

I use to attend the BMW clubs Putnam Park school which they dropped. Not sure if they will be attending this new track due to dates not being posted. I am going the 1st weekend in october, the school is hosted by forgeline.com

MVP Track Time will be at Putnam Park in early April (likely 18th -19th), Mid Ohio in late September or mid-October 2009 and possibly Bluegrass Motorsports Park south of Cincy. Feel free to visit us at MVP Track Time

spectre we must go to Bluegrass motorsports sometime in 09.

i plan on trying to get a decent group of us together for the event. A few indy guys and i are shoe ins. I will be sure to pM you will details arise.

Bluegrass has a ton of events through 10/10ths Motorsports. Im thinking a little warm up before log on may 11th maybe good.

For me thats about 3 hrs. roughly...closer than putnam park. I wish mid ohio had more but I cant find info on it.

Hey spectre.

Chris and arron and I are planning a few this year.

However we all need time to get the cars ready for LOG.

But we plan on hitting Bluegrass after log and Mid-ohio late in the summer.

I will let you know our date options. I found 10/10ths motorsports as well They have quite a few to choose from post log. My thinking with bluegrass is the longer you wait the better the track is going to get. Grass growing in and such.

Im getting the track pack lowered, balanced, etc. so I need to have a bit of time to make sure it's what I like incase I need more adjustments so Im hoping to get out 1 or 2 times before log. But totally would be open to doing something in summer also.

where are you going for that. I was going to get mine done as well. But was planning on calling up performance alignment here in cincy.

I have not decided yet...but my situation is a bit goofy since I had front suspension issues that got fixed under warranty and I have read a lot on the subject so I decided for the heck of it to measure the ride height as it is now with Ballast and my rear is spot on 130mm (5.11") but my front was way off at 158mm (6.25"). So obviously they didn't do something right. So I may have to go back to MAG which is a crap shoot to have it fixed then adjusted down at the same time which makes me a bit nervous.

MAG is a joke. I took my car up there for the common 07 exige oil leak issue( the o-ring) thing.

They said it was fixed. And not to mention the other bonehead details of the trip.

Anyway drove it back home a few months later i go to change the oil again and wow. Fresh leaking drips are still there. They didnt fix it.

I will never go back to mag unless its an absolute emergency.

I hear ya...that's why its a goofy situation. If they didnt do it right they should fix it but in the back of my head Im thinking it could get worse if I take it back. Plus, if I take is somewhere else and the front end needs fixing I may double pay for service and cause issues. I may at least have to have them look at the front again. More I think about it the more pissed I get.

This place cracks me up! A buddy referred me to these guys. I showed up one day for quote, walked in the back garage door and stopped dead in my tracks and just looked around in amazement at the seemingly complete state of disarray they keep this place. At first I said to myself, "Screw this place and these guys, I mean how can they find the tools they layed down before their lunch break let alone the parts they remove from my car." I saw parts everywhere in differents states of repair. Then I realized how much the shops condition reminded me of my garage at home and I was OK with it. haha

For my audi s4 I used passen motorsports and it was kinda like what you describe above but they did a good job. Never had issues but Im not sure though if they are even around now. Unfortunately, my situation is muddy with a potential warranty blunder.

haha here here.

The shop is definitely more of a hole in the wall. But these guys seem to really know there stuff.

They also fo very well in the local auto-x scene. With inexpensive cars. Just set-up very well!
