That would be awesome! That track is so much fun going clockwise. That looks like it's even more fun in the other direction.

I've done it. It's a riot. That's the direction the motorcycles run at Grattan, and you can probably find some motorcycle footage on youtube too.

Running it backwards is a pretty rare opportunity. The only times I have seen it done is during an advanced driving day or instructor day prior to a DE.

Thanks for posting the video. Is it just me, or does it look easier in reverse? Certainly slower...

I think it's because most of the corners are no longer blind. Going clockwise, it's a scary track because most corners are blind.

I ran it backwards at the same time as Jason - the same event as the YouTube video!

It's actually scarier than running it forwards, with Turns #1, #2, #3, #9, #10 and #11 all being blind and often decreasing radius on exit.

The most gut-clenching part is after what becomes the right hand at the end of the main straight into a left hand downhill - normally Turn 11 - the first left hand turn as the cars leave the pits in the YouTube vide. The entrance to this downhill is completely blind, tighter than you expect and potentially very fast Hence we ran it with the chicane at the end of the straight.

No denying how much fun it was though Also, for those who like Grattan, running backwards provides a lot of insight into the nature of its turns and ups / downs. Whole other perspective.

Yeow!

Great track going clockwise - it'd be a blast trying it counter-clockwise! I'd have to reverse all my bad habits...
