Grattan October 4-5
I would love to come watch ya'll and snap some pics of you guys running around the track. Anyone know what it takes to get in to just watch? They never answer their phone and their website doesn't tell anything about pricing. They recently changed the rules so that you can't watch from the guardrail at the entrance so it would be cool to know how much to bring in advance.

Grattan charges $10 to enter the track - that will get you a wristband that is good for both days. Email me your email / telephone if you want to be included in our mailing list: track@greatlakeslotus.com Chris

Sweet, thanks guys! One of the girls at work was selling those Entertainment Coupon books for her sons school fundraiser and I noticed there was a Free Admission coupon in there for none other than Grattan Raceway. Looks like I'm getting in free while my buddy has to pay

Nice snaps! Your the guy I was talking to next to the beginning of the front straight about cameras and what lens you were using right?
My camera puked on me towards the end of the day. Had to send it back to Canon to get replaced/repaired. Oh well. Just have to wait a bit more to take more pics Your site looks sweet, and I had a picture of your Exige at the top of the mountain there as my desktop for a while also ![]() [OT]Your site says your a Linux user. I had Mandriva on this box for a while but the lack of iPod support forced me to switch back to Windows. Down the road a bit I'd like to get back into Linux a bit. Great OS, just slightly complex for a daily usage computer. [/OT] |

I'm just shooting with a standard old school Rebel XT + canon 70-200 F/4 IS and a canon 50 F/1.8. I really need to get that 5D this winter! Screw track suspension or modifications! I'd rather have the camera since I'm not limiting my experience / cars potential yet anyways...Thanks for the comment on the site! I need to redo it. The way I have it setup if janky and sucks for uploading... gonna redo it soon. Probably gonna switch back to an OpenBSD webserver also... I just don't trust Fedora for security. I had a OpenBSD server for like 5 years. Fantastic server! Never had to worry about getting hack in anyways I still use windows for every day use due to being a gamer... but UNIX is the way to go for servers.nice talking to ya out there! |
