Hi,

Add me in as NE Ohio Elise owner....for all of 2 weeks now. Minerva, Ohio (east of Canton - Rt30) 05, Saffron Yellow, HT, sports & touring joins my first car - a 72 europa - owned for 31 years. FYI, I've been autocrossing my mini cooper s & miata with the Eastern Buckeye region porsche club for the past 2 years. They welcome / tolerate non P car drivers, but group us all together in "X" class. It's been fun, but a bone stok miata against evo's, wrx's & z06's.....well the elise should be MORE fun. A fellow elise owner from Massillon ran a couple of times last year with his VERY modified (no windshield, buick grand national engine.....) autocross set up europa and just toasted everyone. They run 1 sunday PM / month - may to october at Hartville Marketplace (Hartville, Ohio) - great setup!
Hope to see more of us on the road!

Milt

Hi Cory,
Great news!! Boy, you guys didn't waste any time!!

I guess your marathon house-hunting weekend worked out.

Be glad to help out any way I can. Let me know where in Shaker, as I used to live there too.

Good luck on the road trip.

Regards,
Wayne

Milt, Welcome to ET. I am from Canton. Once the temp warms up lets get together. Would love to see your friends GN powered europa. I had one of those turbo Buick once upon a time and I just can't image how on earth did one manage to stuff that turbo v6 setup into a little europa.

Hi Milt.. not an Elise owner yet I met Dan the Europa owner from Massilon at the Strip in N Canton. He now has a yellow Exige S that he was running with the hard top off. Great guy and answered a bunch of my questions. I was looking for his screen name here. My follks live at Lake Mohawk so someday you might see another Lotus in this neck of the woods.

Track day at BeaveRun

Hey all,

Just wanted to let everybody know that there is a track day at BeaverRun on June 8. Price is cheap at $165 for preregistration. I am signed up as an instructor so if anybody wants me specifically, I think they can request me at registration. http://www.beaverun.com/thrills_flat...t_sessions.htm

At the session I attended last fall, there were 2 Elises present. There is always room for more.

See you there,

Tony Duncan

I work in Mentor..and Wayne (waydui) lives about 5 minutes from there...welcome to the club!

We have done some drives with other area owners in the past, looks like we need to get another one in the works. Although I wont have my car back for 3-4 weeks until it gets the "mack truck" damage fixed.

Two to three weeks - It may be snowing here by then!

BTW - where do you guys take your cars for service? Is Bedford really as bad as everyone says it is?

When does it really start to snow here?? (only lived here a few months..)

Some people like Bedford....me, I will NEVER take my car there again..They dont have the proper equipment to lift the car, there service manager is stupid and doesnt know jack about the cars... I drive to Princeton Lotus (455 miles each way) so I wouldn't suggest that.. I wont let anyone else work on my car.. I know there are some others that are closer but not sure..

Also, let me know when your car get there, KG is one of my fav. colors, I would love to meet up and drool!

You can generally expect some sort of snowfall around late November early December. We had a frost warning last night.

I've heard MAG in Columbus has one of the better service shops.

I'll let you know when she gets here.

I've had good luck with MAG for service (albeit some time ago). Fun place to kick tires while you wait too!
