The time and effort to get this organized is greatly appreciated! I have only done small group drives before so Im a rookie when it comes to a large group drive like we had sunday.

Just a few thoughts to add to echo the above:
- Easy to find location that can accommodate all the cars.
- A route that allows for a good flow from point A-B, (personally, rt 26 sucks due to the crapy pavement and debris on the road, pot holes, rocks, dirt, long grass, etc. but it is one curvy mofo).
- Anyway, maybe a quick group game plan meeting before leaving on the drive so everyone knows what to expect and when.
- Although kinda cool to see that many cars rolling, it may have been nicer to divide up into a few groups with a central meeting spot or if not a long drive, an ending point so everyone can socialize. It seemed that after most of you left... moving 4 cars was a snap and more fun.

I think like others have said, it is exceptional for people making this happen and would love to be do another one in the future. And if you didn't check out the video above... check it out.

The video was awsome spectre.

I was just about to ask how Rt.26 was.

Do you have much video coverage of RT.26? Was the end of the video rt.26?

I have about 20min. or so of rt26. but yeah the last minute or so is rt26.

I have done rt26 twice now and each time about 10min. in I think these roads really suck... I won't be doing it again. They are so bumpy, pot holes, rocks, etc. that you don't feel good about going fast on them because you will damage your car or they will cause you to go off road. I think ohio has other roads that are very twisty and are in much better condition and more fun to experience.

I agree with all the comments and suggestions.
We were happy to stay over on the Saturday which made for less driving on the Sunday (we were driving to SC on the Monday so didn't want a long day).

I, too, missed the chance to meet all the people on the run.
I agree that the large number was awkward for the "convoy" but great for the meet up and it was amazing to see so many Elises moving in line.

To address these issues perhaps we could:

Meet somewhere easy to find off the I-70 with a large space to park.
There could be different start points and smaller convoys to the meeting place.
Maybe have badges/decals with LT screen names - to break the ice and make it easy to meet up with people you particularly want to talk to.

Perhaps have a short run on a main road (even the I-70) so that we can get some shots of all the cars together - and enjoy the experience of a big convoy.

Then split up into smaller groups (4-5 cars?) leaving at intervals for a "country road run". If someone lags behind they can just pick up the next runners (we'd need a local at the end to pick up stragglers).

The groups could be based on speed intention - although I think it would be much better if everyone treated the day as a "ride in the country" rather than a road rally....

I have some pictures but have just got back from SC so haven't sorted them all yet - although I've sent some to individuals.

Again - great to meet you all.

Plus Old Mans Cave is an awesome place to see and meet up. Its in Hocking Hills. Not as long of a run either so we can spend more time socializing

Hey guys sorry for the tardy post. Just wanted to say thanks for setting this up. My son and I had a great time meeting everyone and the roads were fun also. Hope everything has turned out ok with those who had a less fortunate day.

Since you don't have a description of your car or a pic I have to ask you who you were.

My only regret from the trip is that I didnt get to meet everyone personally.

Jeff

PICTURES

OK,

Sorry this took so long - hectic week at work.

I've picked a few photos but all the images are on my Gallery page:

OHIO MEET MAY 2008 - LotusTalk Lotus Gallery

Some points:

I was a bit disappointed with the "group shots" - the McDonalds location was very "fussy" visually (cars wires signs etc).
Perhaps another reason for meeting at a big open lot somewhere next time.

I have more photos of the run (and of other cars) but they won't be available just yet......

Because of the number of images I haven't done any more than a cursory crop and reduced them to LT size.
Anyone is welcome to play with them (color correction etc.)
I have full resolution images for all the shots - if anyone wants any - just PM me.
Also - if anyone objects to themselves (or their car) in the shot - let me know and I'll remove the image.

So - some samples.....
