2006 Club111 calendar - VOTING NOW OPEN
The response to our request for photo submissions was incredible (see this thread). A quick first pass cut some similar photos and several others for various reasons (vertical aspect ratios were not viewed favorably, for example, though a few made the cut). What we have now is...still a heck of a lot of photos. So, voting will be in two rounds. In round one, you'll be voting for a fixed number of photos from different categories. The winners from round one will go on to round two, where all photos are thrown together into one big pot and you get to vote on any of them at that time. The exact number of photos that will make it to round two is flexible, if for example there are not 3 obvious winners in the yellow Elise category (you SY owners sure like to take pictures of your cars!), we may move more than 3 on to the final round of voting (same with the track pictures).
The voting procedure is simple, if you have broadband (sorry dialup folks, I did my best to reduce file sizes but it's still a lot of images to load). Just go to this link. Fill out your email and EliseTalk name at the top (if you don't have an EliseTalk name, you're probably not reading this, but if somehow you are, just put something creative in that box instead). Follow the instructions that tell you how many pictures to vote on each section; vote on a picture by clicking the checkbox under it. When finished, click on the 'submit' button at the bottom of the page. You'll be redirected to a page confirming your vote was submitted. We really want this calendar to be available in time for Christmas gifts, so I'm afraid there's a bit of urgency to the voting. Round one of voting will close at 5:00PM Tuesday, November 29. I'll do my best to then quickly get the finalists posted for the last round of voting, with a goal of having round two voting finished by 12/4 and the calendar up for sale a few days after that. Question for you all - is there interest in having multiple versions of the calendar available? Specifically, one version dedicated to action photos from road and track. The standard Club111 calendar would have a mixture of all types of photos. Thoughts?

Matt, first thanks for stepping up to this monumental task !!!
Regarding multiple versions I'd vote no, because I'll probably buy several Elise-type calendars as it is (Elisetalk, Club 111, SELOC, perhaps a Lotus calendar if available...). But thanks for asking. Mike

Thanks Matt (and anybody else who worked in the background) for getting all the photos organized.
I should have enough time by the 29th to get all my friends and family to sign up with Elisetalk in order to stuff the votes in my favor ![]() |

There are tons of nice shots, its a good thing voting is automated otherwise you all could never come up with winners.

Wow! That was hard! Too many good ones to choose from, especially the SY. I just picked the ones that I thought would look best in calendar.
[shameless plug]it it a shame that you can't see Colin's reflection better at that size. Hope he makes it into the calendar[/shameless plug] ![]() hehe Thanks Matt! and all you terrific ET photographers. The Elise is truly a thing of voluptuous beauty. z |

). I wasn't able to find polling software already written that allows multiple selections; I considered creating a php/MYSQL application to do this, but figured it'd be quicker to just tally the votes manually..

I voted this morning (but unlike a couple weeks ago, I guess we don't get "I Voted Today!" stickers?
).I like the idea of multiple calendars (if only for the reason that more pics can be used, which hopefully means one with Descartes makes the cut!)... (Shameless plug: Vote for that Graphite Grey decklid badge close-up!) Orrie

Please remove my photo from this event. It's listed with another's name, and is also a track photo....but it is not placed in the track section. Thanks.

oh, and my bad on the CO car in the SY section, I didn't really intend for that color to be true to life but I do have the Canon RAW files still if either of those are chosen. They could definitely be made more balanced with a bit of work.
