2007 Club 111 Calendar

Sorry to bring up a potentially sore subject, but are there any plans to make a 2007 calendar?
I enjoyed last year's calendar and believed it was well done. Perhaps the late start added to the difficulties. It may even be late now.
I hardly consider myself even an amateur photographer, so it was a thrill to submit photos in a competition, to particate in judging, and eventually have one of my photos selected for the calendar. Even if I didn't make the final selection, I would have enjoyed the process, the variety and excellence of all the submitted photos, and eventually have a hard copy of some of the best Elise/Exige photos.
Whatever difficulties happened last year are "lessons learned" this year. So, what's the plan?

Thanks for starting up this discussion. You're right, it was rushed last year so let's get things going sooner, like ASAP. It's been very popular in the past and has provided money to cover Club111's liability insurance policy, so is definitely worthwhile.

I've managed this project the past two years, but will not be doing so this year. My wife is due to give birth to our first child in October, so this just isn't something I'd have time for. Anyone who is interested in managing the 2007 Club111 calendar, please post here or PM me. I'll get the Club111 staff involved in the decision making process to decide who to hand this task off to (assuming there's more than one sucker interested ). This person would be responsible for collecting photo submissions, coming up with a decision making process to whittle it down to 13 pictures (including cover photo), adjusting the aspect ratio to suit the printing (or manage additional volunteers to do that work), add credits to the photos, and configure the calendar in the Cafepress store (though we'd be open to other printing and distribution possibilities).

Just trying to keep this thread alive for a little while longer. Here's a photo I took on Thursday in Wine Country. No wonder the kids call my Elise the "Batmobile."
Don't all volunteer at once.

If no one steps forward, I would volunteer.

But no fair everyone else stepping backward.

*steps back*

I will submit this one... others seemed to like it I have it in higher resolution if the organizer wants to use it.

I think it would be good for November... or even the cover?

Great pic, but maybe she can get a new pumpkin one for 2007. That pic you refer to was the pic for the October 2005 Club111 calendar.

One thing in advance of any organizing decisions. If I end up in charge of the calendar, there would not be any voting involved. It would be that members submit their pics, and the calendar would be made at the discretion of the organizing team. Otherwise, I would decline. No offense to anyone, of course.

Let me know where to send photos. And please make up a calendar with variety. Or perhaps do a couple of them!

The club111 staff will be discussing this in the next week or so and will post the plan here once we figure it out.

Just my 2 cents, but I think we could have 2 calenders, one cool, fun artistic one done by zoomz, and one with amazing photography done by skiddo. Just a suggestion, I know i'd buy both.

There is probably going to be an artistic one, with the same crew as last year, different theme though. Creative minds are perculating...
