The Club ??
Hey Guys and Gals..how about a status on the updating of the Club website? Also, got anything to make me feel like my $25bucks was a.) received and b.) going to get me anything other than a chump award? As the self designated team leader for the Long Island New York region..I'd love some connectivity with my West Coast like minded Elise owners...Thanks,

I got your money You are a member. All the people who gave us money last year will be free this year. We appreciate all those who contributed early because it allowed us to start the club off, particularly with insurance that is very expensive. Sorry, we are taking so long to start up. These lazy volunteers that run CLub111 are too busy tracking their cars or something ![]()

One thing I would like to see at the club111 (.net) site is a poll of what we would like the club to sponsor. The car control day is a good one. The detailing day was good. But, how about some modification tests, like sponsoring some SAE corrected dyno tests of certain modifications that seem to be a constant source of contention in this forum? Also, how about hosting do-it-yourself articles and such (like the sandsmuseum does). Other ideas? |

I'd love to join a Lotus club, I just don't see a lot of reason to join any of them yet. Informal local meets seem to offer a lot more. I realize that with a new club there is a chicken and egg thing going on, but give me some tangible reasons to join Club 111, or Lotus, Ltd., etc. What's in it for me? <-- That's being written tongue-in-cheek, sorta. I guess I'm a bit jealous that the club seems to have a SoCal bias and I'm out here in the Mid-Atlantic.

Annual Lotus Owner's Gathering Connection with other Lotus owners of all kinds. There are more out there than you know...and near you as well. The member's list also includes a designation for members who choose to be a resource to other members who are traveling...from technical assistance if broken down to the extreme of putting you up overnight. A great paper newsletter about the Marque. Not just the Elise. Not even mostly about the Elise...Lotus is about a whole lot more than the Elise, and it's a very interesting marque. I've been a member during Europa, Esprit, and now Elise ownership. Great investment. Have you joined the DC Chapter yet? You should. |
