Club111 Philadelphia BBQ, June 4th - LotusTalk

Stephanie and I will be hosting a Club111 BBQ at our home in Philadelphia on June 4th. Festivities will start around 1:30 when we will gather and then head out on a scenic drive through Philadelphia and Fairmont Park. We will the return to my home and enjoy Brisket, Soft Shell Crab, Hot Dogs, and my Famous BBQ Ribs. Please feel free to bring the family, even if they need a second car. There is plenty of safe parking in my neighborhood. Please RSVP to me by PM or on this thread. Feel free to bring a salad or desert but it is not required.

I look forward to seeing everyone.

I'm just back from the WCLM, Sedona and Vegas. What an awesome trip which I'll post about elsewhere.

Just a reminder that we are 1 week away. So far we have a great group coming. We will be running a road course through Center City and Fairmont Park that is proposed for the CHAMP race (by Paul Newman).

Don't forget ribs, crabs, brisket and more! Bring the family.

PM me or post if you can come.

The Drive will now start at 12:30 so plan on arriving at around noon. The BBQ will begin around 2:00. I hope this doesn't cause trouble.

Lotus Fury is coming in from Pittsburgh and several people are coming down from New England so those closer have no excuse!

The weather will be clear with a high of around 78 degrees.

In case anyone shows up late, here is the route we are taking for the drive which starts at 12:30

"BBQ Scenic Drive Instructions for 6/4/06
12:30 departure

- Grant Avenue (east) over Route 1 to Academy Avenue (Chevy Dealer), make right

- Academy Avenue to I-95 South

- I-95 South to Vine Street Expressway (Route 276 West)

- Vine Street Expressway to Broad Street Exit.

- Make Right onto Vine Street

- Vine Street to Benjamin Franklin Parkway

- Take Benjamin Franklin Parkway toward Art Museum (Rocky Steps) and then to the right (Kelly Drive)

- Kelly Drive to Lincoln Drive

- Lincoln Drive to Rittenhouse (only on right, make right)

- Rittenhouse to Wissohickon (1st light, short block) make left

- Wissahickon to Lincoln Drive (short block) make left.

- Lincoln to Kelly

- Kelly to Benjamin Franklin Parkway

- Parkway, around Fountain, make right on Vine (from circle around fountain)

- Vine street to Vine Street Expressway

- Expressway to I-95 North

- I-95 North to Academy Avenue

- Academy to Grant (Chevy Dealer) make Left

- Grant to Clark, Make Right

- Clark to Murray Make Left

-Return to 1825 Murray Street"

If you want to meet us on the route it's OK. You can also meet us back at Murray Street around 2:00 to eat if you don't want to go on the drive or are running late. Ribs are already on. Yum, Yum.
