Hi everybody!
Hi!
I'm new here... so I'll introduce myself: I'm Jack, and I live in the italian speaking part of Switzerland, which is called "Ticino". It is in the south, near Italy (Milano). I'm 32 and I own 3 cars: - Toyota Yaris Turbo (limited edition, N. 140, 1.5 150hp) - Toyota Celica TS (same as your GTS but with 192hp) and of course... - Lotus Elise S1 111, 1.8 120cv, 11.1996, Nr. 172 in production, and the first arrived in Switzerland, mustard yellow with black rims. Being one of the first elises, it comes with MMC brakes, and some other alluminium parts, lighter than the post-1998 models. Modifications are: - Spax adjustable shocks - Janspeed muffler - Cat removal pipe (only sometimes fitted) - ITG Maxogen carbon intake - Sport160 throttle body - Elise 111S intake manifold - Clear front/side lenses - OMP trecento steering wheel (30mm) - Removable Steering Wheel Hub - Yokohama A038 tyres Next steps: tomorrow I will have a new thermostat installed, which opens at 82° instead of 89°, and an oil change Then in January I'll put the exige gear ratios in my gearbox (they are shorter), and maybe new shocks. Here's some pictures: Cheers!! ![]()

Welcome Jack!
Thanks for jumping in on EliseTalk. Beautiful car. You're a lucky man. We hope you stay active on this forum. It looks like you really keep your Elise clean and detailed - who wouldn't? What year is she?

Hi, thank you!
Yes I love my car to be detailed My Elise is the first Elise arrived in Switzerland, November 1996, and it's nr. 172 built in Hethel. Being one of the very first elises, it comes with MMC disk brakes, alluminium bonnet, and other little details, which make this model the lightest road legal Elise (the sport190 is not road legal here).

Nice looking car! I grew up in Switzerland myself. Where exactly do you live? I was in the Ticino a number of times. It's a beautiful area.

I grew up in the Thurgau, in a small town about half way between Frauenfeld and Schaffhausen. Before I moved to the US, I lived outside of Zurich for a few years, near Kloten.
