Info on Club111?
I just bought my Elise yesterday and am interested in hearing some info on Club111. What exactly is it? What benefits are there? How much does it cost? FWIW, I looked around for about 5 min and couldn't find the info so for those of you in charge you may want to make it more obvious.
Thanks, Steve |

Welcome. This is our first newsletter and also has a membership form in it.
http://www.elisetalk.com/forums/show...&threadid=5813 We are in the process of developing our website as well. Bottom line we're about driving, drivers ed and social events. In our events we've joined other motorsport clubs in track day/drivers ed events.

Steve,
Club111 is still getting going so things aren't all worked out yet. Our website, club111.net, is under development but looking great so far. We've had a few events so far (BBQs, that sort of thing), and a track day with the Golden Gate Lotus Club coming up October 18th in ButtonWillow. See the GGLC website for more info on that.

i'm still a bit confused as to what $25 buys you? Granted it's not a lot of money and i'm not trying to be cheap, but if i'm just going to give money away i'd rather give it to the homeless guy i just drove by...
Come on guys, i really want to join this. Sell me on it! By the way, you guys are going to Buttonwillow on a monday?? Just what i need, to waste 50 grand on a toy and then to stop working because of it Is this a Lotus only track day or could we bring the GT2 also? Thanks, Steve |

Steve,
You pay over MSRP for an elise and you're fussing about $25?? WOW! Don't what kind of sellling can be done, but So. Cal has had quite a few events already even tho the club is still in it's infancy. Also, we don't so much need the $25 as we need people willing to actually contribute something (articles, time, etc) and not expect it to all be done for them. Chris

Don't see a problem with bringing another car, but you may want to check with the event organizers.
Usually track events are cheaper for club members. Therefore, joining will cover the difference after one or two events. You also get the newsletter, member discounts, and access to things of that nature. The club is still in it's infancy. At the very least, there is the potential to actually save money by joining, if you don't contribute to or receive anything else from the club. |

I just checked the track day info and it seems it's $10 cheaper for members so that will pay for itself quickly. I'm sold eventhough you guys did a ****ty job of selling haha. In all seriousness though, the newsletter says to copy and paste the page and send it to join but it's a pdf. I have no clue how to copy and paste a page from a pdf. Is there any easier way to join? I have a paypal account and know my own name and address by heart so i figure it shouldn't be too much of a hassle ![]() |

Actually, send the paypal to treasurer@club111.net.
Here's what I need. Full name: Elisetalk handle (if applicable): Email address: Street address: City: State: Zip: Telephone number (s) Would you like to be listed in the member directory: • Yes • No Names of Spouse/Family members you would like to include: Elise yr/color/options: And, I copied that from the pdf, I think you can do that with later versions of Acrobat.

P.S. Offroad, the SoCal group is awesome. We have already planned lots of events, and will have many more to come. There are a lot of really active members here

Plus there will be vendor discounts, reduced track fees, and supporting a community. It is a not-for-profit entity and all proceeds go back to the members.
There will be some tangible goodies too.

I'd love you to include my stepfather/partner. His name is Zirk Engelbrecht and we own the GT2 together. He will probably come out to most of the meets and trackdays. The Elise is obviously a 2005, Chrome Orange, Touring, Sport, Star Shield. Look forward to meeting you all! -Steve |
