Looks great!

The only suggestion I have is that there's a lot of text on the first page and not much else. I'm not suggesting the text be edited; I think it's great the way it is. Visually, I just think it'd look better with a large picture somewhere on the page. I'm not sure how you'd accomplish this with that text though. Alternatively, a cover page could be added? It's good the way it is, it just doesn't make as good of a first impression as I think it could.

Color scheme and logos look great.

You'll have to be careful though, as you're already just shy of a 2 MB PDF. Much north of that and you'll have to concern yourself with alienating dial-drip users.

Why use pdf at all. Use HTML. Much smaller in size and you can still preserve some formatting.

It's a very good point. Part of the reason the first page has so much text is the 'openning' editorial. I don't intend on repeating this format. The hope is to have a tech Q/A section, an events and regional report section and other articles.

I like the PDF format - it's easier to save them for future reference that way. Besides, html often displays differently on different computer and browser configurations, and using PDF eliminates that uncertainty.

Indeed, how gouche of me to not mention her. She put in quite a bit of effort toward the final product.

Babak,
Very well written introduction. Not the typical car article. Do you read Dan Neil the Pulitzer prize winning auto writer for the LA Times. I can't wait to get the Wednesday paper to read his "rumble seat" article. Good information and brilliant/witty writing--it doesn't get any better than that.
Great start!

Concur completely with Matt! AND it is a much better format for printing, especially for old fogies like myself who like to read printed material
Super job! Keep up the good work.

Thank you. I don't read his column; I'll see if I can find it posted on the LA Times site.
