Sooo... how do I join? Why do I join?

Now that I have my car, and my Lotus Ltd membership card, how do I join Club111?

The web page has been a Plesk placeholder for quite a while, and I'm not sure if I have the right address:
http://www.club111.net/

The email contact is very unusual:
http://www.club111.net/ġa_štł:1’ᅢ‚=

Not sure what to make of that, but I sure can't send email to it.

What's up?

Maybe a post listing "Top 5 Reasons to Join Club111" would be a useful read. Aside from a cool logo and cool members, I'm not sure what it's about. (that's your cue to toot horn)

The site not being ready is my fault. I moved it to the new server and then had some issues with a PHP upgrade and then incompatability with the PLESK interface, which was fixed Friday. We should be able to move forward and fix the emails today.

P.S. Feffman, I know you have your agenda, but I do not think it is right for you to come into a thread requesting info on club111 and telling the people to go to Lotus LTD. We should work together. Thank you.

No agenda at all. Just letting people know what Lotus club options are available. Lotus Ltd. would be happy to work with you or any Lotus enthusiast.

Feel free to call me or any member of the Lotus Ltd. board.

Oh I'm a card-carrying window-stickered member of Lotus Ltd already, and have no difficulty finding information on that club. I enjoy the frequent newsletters quite a bit, and know about the benefits.

If I want GGLC info, I know where to find that too. Six track day events, a West Coast meet, etc.

I'm just trying to find out more about what Club111 is all about. Is it Events? Discounts? Factory involvement? Thongs?

Toot-toot. Ground, it's a chicken-and-egg thing really, isn't it ?

It's a new club, so by joining, YOU can have a very large influence on what Club 111 ultimately becomes ! You want to organize track days ? go for it ! Club drives, Elise-focused autocross, karting events or social events or whatever, this is a great opportunity.

At least that's the way I'm looking at it. I'm not expecting Randy, or Lillie or Babak to organize everything because like me and you, they've already got a million things they could be doing, so in a big way, it's going to be a cooperative thing.

How do you join ? Send money to Lillie !!!

Same here and it's nearly April, 2 months since the last post on this thread...

Randy, what's the story with Club 111? I held off joining 'till I got my car and now it seems dead in the water. Hell I know this is all a hobby and all but it's kinda looking like it never really got going?

Looks like 2-3 people having a private party...

I'd seriously consider joining if I knew what the hell it was and why, where, how...

I'm not a member myself, but noticed that printed material is handed out to members at some of the Club 111 events I've attended. Maybe it's schedule / directory and other info, I dunno.

Randy, Whenever you get the server issues worked out, shoot me an email and we'll get a site set up for 111.

Paul,

Club111 is alive and thriving. We have a full years worth of scheduled events including a national gathering this summer. As the regional coordinator for the northeast, I can send you our regional schedule if you would like.

The web site is nearly up and discounts are in place and increasing every week. For example, this month the club is having a tour of the Toad Hall Auto Collection in Port Hyannis Ma. and then a optional overnight stay at The Simmons Inn Bed and breakfast next door. Those who opt to come and stay over night can save their entire membership fee in this one event!

We are working as a group to better the community. This weekend we have an event in Ct. which has been covered by Pistonheads here:

http://www.pistonheads.com/lotus/def...?storyId=10159

We are young. We are learning our way. But we have a direction. We have goals. Our leadership is dedicated. More important, our membership is fantastic. The members in my region have displayed not just the expected passion for their cars, but also a commitment to one another. We have a real sense of community. It's hard to describe. The best thing I can recommend is coming to and event to see for yourself.

That's more information than is easily accessible in the Club111 section!!!

Yes I'd be very interested to see a program thingy and also know what discounts and the like are currenty lined up. Also how many mid-Atlantic members do you have...?

Thanks for the response.

PM is fine

Ok, I was bored, so I set up a PHP-Nuke site:

http://club111.transio.com/

I guess I could develop something there and then once the new server is configured, upload it there.

If anyone has any Club 111 info, feel free to email it to me and I'll put it in the development site!

I joined. It is $25 well spent. I think that Randy and Robert(wallabyguy) are doing a great job. The products from the sponsor are great and the service is good. I went to one event that was well organized and fun. Jump in - it is fun!

I still have this peculiar feeling like Club111 is for "those in the know".. those who know what it is, who the members are, what the events are, and how to get in. Not unlike its titular sibling Club-33..

I'm not about to drop a Benji on the doorman just to find out what's inside, if you know what I mean.

GGLC is hosting the track day at Buttonwillow, and that's fine enough reason for me to visit their web page, write a check for a known fee, and mail it to a published address. It's a reasonable system that has worked well for organizations and clubs the world over.

I totally believe Club111 is made up of the same swell crowd whose fellowship I enjoy here at ET, Elise meets, and probably GGLC events. Its sponsors are all A-List, members enthused, paradigms shifted, and agenda grand. I look forward to joining someday.

I stand in awe that someone can just toss up a forum as easily as I send email. But correct me if I'm wrong -- we have a perfectly functional forum right here coddling this exact post. It's precisely the info that's missing with regards to Club111.

PHP-Nuke isn't a forum per se, it's a CMS (content management system) that allows quick and easy creation of a website. One of the modules that plugs into it is a forum, but the software is much more than that - really, it's whatever you want it to be.
