Alarm continues to go off AFTER I disconnect the battery

Is the alarm supposed to go off even after I disconnect the battery? Is there some sort of back up battery? It was not for long, maybe 5-10 seconds but it was still going off and the battery was disconnected.

Thanks,

Where is it and how do I remove it? I get a fairly high battery draw on the poor girl (alarm on or off, it does not matter much) so I want to remove anything that could be causing my issue. And I don't have anyplace to run a battery tender.

It's in the Siren and only meant to power the siren once the alarm has gone off and the battery disconnected. I don't know what removing this battery will do for you though?

Ah, I see. I tried to disable the imobilizer with the sequence on this website and never got it to work right. It still comes on and then the alarm goes off all the time. UGH

Not sure what you want to do but you can't have the alarm on and not the immobilizer. You can make the immobilizer turn on actively when you press button "A" to turn on the alarm, instead of it turning on automatically (passive arming).

I am trying to get it to no longer be passively armed. I basically want it on ONLY when I turn it on.

I tried the instructions and could not get that to work out. Ideally, I would like the whole thing gone, but that sounds like a real hastle.
