I've had three issues with the alarm. One was the light inside, I bumped it and it was on. You get the beeps with that. The second common one was the alarm going off when leaves and rain hit the windshield. To eliminate that I set the alarm then hit the small button twice. That turns the internal sensor off. The other problem was kinda like what you are having. I solved it by starting the car. After starting the car the alarm reset or something.
Also make sure your passenger door is closed all the way as well as the boot and front access panels. Good luck. If all else fails, rtfm and count the codes it blinks that'll tell you what the problem is.

What are the front access panels? I tried everything above and it's still not working
I'm having the same problem. I lock the doors, the lights flash and then a few seconds later I get a continuous beep noise. I just got my car back Friday after having the front clam replaced. Could they have done something to it? I locked the car and set the alarm no problem Friday night and Saturday night ... today it's jacked. |

Thanks, I think it was the one on the right side away from the fuse box. I just gave it a little push down, I didn't hear anything snap into place or anything, but the beeping stopped. I engaged and disengaged the alarm a few times and it seems to be fixed. Thanks!
If I want to open one up, how do they come off exactly? Is there a release button or do just give them a tug? I don't see anything in the manual about how to take it off |

They are secured by 2 pins on the inside (center of the car) edge that have to be slid out in the direction of the side of the car. There is also a retaining tab on the front edge. Hope this helps.

I was still having problems with it. I ended up finding the page in the owner's manual on how to take the panel off .... not sure what I did differently than they did, but I reinstalled it and it stopped. Hopefully it's permanently fixed now
Thanks again and thanks for the tip on the allen wrench. |

My alarm went off when I was starting the car a couple weeks ago - I couldn't shut it off unless the special code was entered by switching on and off the ignition. I tried replacing batteries in the fob - no luck. To make a long story short, the whole alarm system had to be replaced.

Ugh ... all day it was fine ... just got home 10 pm and it's back, the buzzing. Give a slight push to the right corner of right access panel and it stops .... any suggestions?? Is there a contact point that it needs to hit or something?
I'll have to take a closer look at in the morning |

there are some nice roads not top condition and short drives, but since thery are the roads that everybody uses there could be a lot of trafic, unless you go like 300 miles south of the border. I usally ride around san diego and the toll from tijuana to ensenada thet is a fast ride if you know where police are. there is a road thet i want to do on the elise up copper cayon in chihuahua i did it last year in my ducati and it was the best just paved awsom curves, no police and no traffic. But what you get most of in mexico are looks a questions about the car what's that? etc
