Bad parking lamp switch drains battery
Coming home last night, I found that the parking lamp switch would not turn off. I'm not going to try to repair this myself. The car is still under warranty and I'll try to bring it to a dealer soon.
My concern is the current draw. I can minimize the instrument backlighting, but the parking lamps remain on. Wouldn't this drain the battery if I leave it parked overnight? My solution is to disconnect the battery. I don't know why, but this doesn't set off the alarm. Is there any harm in disconnecting the battery and reconnecting it every time I use the car? Any other suggestions? I'm not interested in learning how to access the innards, so even if there's a simple wire to unplug, I might not be able to get to that wire.

Sounds like a switch pack module problem...

Or you can pull the fuse F16.
