Blown fuse after installing festoon style LED's

I recently replaced the festoon style license plate bulbs with LED's because the
pee yellow color grew tiresome.
My problem deals with fuses. The 10A fuse in the access panel fuse box blew after installation. I am referring to the #16 slot "sidelamps, rear fog" fuse.

The fuse blew when I turned on the blinker with the engine running and all exterior lights on.

The headlights are HID's and the front marker lights (next to the high beams) are LED's. Does this combination have any bearing on the 10a blow fuse?

I "fixed" the problem by using a 15 A fuse in its stead.

thoughts...Robert

I'm running that same combination, no problems. The LEDs and HIDs actually draw less current than incandescent, so something is up. I'd reconsider the 15A upgrade or your wiring might burn before the fuse.

The 15a fuse fix was just to get me home last night. The taillights and marker lights were not working.

I can't think of a reason why this happened.

The 10a fuse blew under very specific conditions: The headlights, marker lights (all lights),heater, and radio was powered. The fuse
blew both times when I switched on the turn signal lever.
