CTek Battery Charger
Anyone have any experience with these battery chargers? My local performance shop recommended them over a Battery Tender.

Does your performance shop sell those chargers by an chance? Of course that's what they are going to recommend.
It may or may not be a good system. It doesn't appear to use the more common connector used by Battery Tender and Battery MINDer units (makes it harder to find adapters, extension cords, etc.). The one advantage it seems to have is that it does the "pulse" thing to de-sulfate the battery and prolong the life of the battery. That's why I use my Battery MINDer (http://www.vdcelectronics.com/index.htm) instead of the Battery Tender - the Battery MINDer does the de-sulfation thing too. Search on-line for Battery MINDer and/or Battery Tender (with out the de-sulfation mode) to compare prices.
