Not a fuse, but you do need the Driving Lights switch which fits into the existing light control panel on the left side of the dash.

It's an extra switch located below the regular lighting controls in the same panel piece. This switch and panel is part of the Driving Light kit.

Wayne

Any way to bypass that and just have them come on with the high beams?
What about tapping into the highbeam wires?

Yes, I suppose you could just tap into the High Beam circuit, but then you wouldn't be able to turn them off when you have the high beams on.

The driving lights would always be on with the high beams. I wouldn't want that but maybe that's OK for you?

Wayne

That's actually what they do. The driving lights only function with the high beams, the switch allows you to disable them so that they don't come on at all. Or you can leave the switch "on", and anytime you turn on the high beams, the driving lights come on.

Early '05 cars (like mine) are not wired for the switch, and the lights cannot be turned off - they always come on with the high beams. The problem is, that is not legal in some states, which is why Lotus had to add the switch to disable the driving lights.

Besides the switch (and panel) which come with the driving light kit, there is a relay that needs to be installed under the dash. I believe that on some cars, that relay is already there, but again, the relay comes with the kit if you don't have it installed already.
