electrical manual

does anyone have a paper copy of the circuit diagrams, i don't mean one printed from the PDFs, but an original manual ? for some reason lotus decided to scan them to PDFs instead of using the original computer documents.

if i recall they did the same thing with the m100 too.

anyway, are they clear ? i'm having trouble deciphering some of the ECU pin numbers and i'm builiding a tabletop harness so i want to get it right first time

cheers

ok since everyone seems to like quizzes

sheet 2 of electrical manual. FUEL PUMP_ECU 1, elise_north_america_1-16.pdf

Rear +VE stud via Fuse R4---> 124,P0.75 -> goes to ECU pin ____

fill in the blank

I'm going with 80, its the last pin in the connector, so it makes some sense, it seems to check out with the transient supression too, but measure twice cut once.

Shoulda listened to your mother when she said that would make you go blind.
Looks like 80 to me.

BTW, that's one scary avatar.

sounds good to me.

i started documenting the connector in a slightly more readable fashion.

paper response

Clearly it is pin 80 in my paper manual. That is one of the easier to read.

By the way, the number just below, coming from splice AD is 61.

Interestingly enough, the sheets for the Elise 111R and Exige are included in my manual and are not the nicely printed originals of the Federal version. Rather they are poor, off centered copies. It appears(!) the same wire is also going to pin 80 but it is much more difficult to read.

I was finally installing the horn ring in the 111R steering wheel and trying to get the horn to work. It was then that I discovered there are some significant differences between the 111R and the Federal wiring harness, at least in the area of the horn... I had to really kludge the horn connection.

i'm reasonably sure 61 via splice AD is the 'switch on one' splice AD feeds via F13 and splice D from the ignition.

so far, 12V to 80 and 61

yep thats the deal, 12V to 80 powers the ECU partially, using 61 switches it on
