HID install on a S240
I am sorry if this has been posted before, but here it goes anyway.
Installation on the sealed headlights on the newer lotus is so much easier than the earlier versions. No need to remove the head light assembly or hacking the bulb holder to secure the hid bulb. Remove the wheel (4 bolts) Remove the fender liner (3 screws) Remove the dust cover, your hid kit should probably look like mine which comes with its own dust boot. I drilled a 1" hole in the stock dust cover and passed the HID wiring through. You will need to remove the light bulb clip as the hid bulb has a longer body. All you need to do is pull up/down on the ends and the clip will come off.

now put the clip over the hid bulb and secure it in place - there is no hacking like the earlier lotus cars. Making your wiring connections and snap the oem boot on.
Make your final connections to the ballast and mount the ballast at your desired location. I mounted it to an existing stud by the oil cooler. put back the fender liner and wheel and enjoy lighting up the road. btw 6000K looks real good w/ the laser blue ![]() ![]()
