Hid Problem

i need some help here guys i ordered a H1 8500K HID KIT, but when Hunting ridge motors attempted to install it they said it did not fit does that mean i needed an H7 KIT.

H1's fit. HRM is known as a quality dealer....I wonder what's up. Maybe the ballasts are too large? Maybe the wiring from the bulb to ballast is too short/wide? I think you need to ask for more specifics, here....The H1 kit I got from xenondepot fit perfectly, no drilling needed.


edit: H7's are for the high beam. From what I've been told, xenon lights aren't meant to serve in a quick on/off function as they'd be used in high beams...In other words, I think the common opinion is that the Elise high beams are better left alone.

I've got the HID high beams from Yvo,and they are great.

its not that Hunting Ridge Motors could not do the work, its because they said the hid kit needs to be modified to fit, i am not sure what to do now, or who i can take it to get modified. i do not want to take the risk of someone messing it up so i wil have to look for someone who does quality work. any suggestions is helpful i live in Garden City, Ny

i went to HRM a few days ago to get the HID lights installed.
they said they didnt have them in stock and they were stuck in customs?

oh well...i guess i'll do mostly day driving now.

Post a picture of your kit so we can see what is wrong.
