Well, I finally got an answer to my problem. The locks must be replaced. Something went wrong with the ignition lock so all the locks will have to be replaced. They said the locks should be in tomorrow. Hopefully I can pick it up by thursday, tomorrow if I'm lucky. Hopeflully my wheel will be done in time. On my last service they managed to drop my tire on its side. You know, it was sort of resting against one of the lift poles, got bumped and fell over. It scratched it up a little. They were honest enough to point it out to me immediately and say they would repaint the clear coat on it on my next appointment.

I think the radio staying on is 'by design'. I think Blaupunkt rigged the HU so that it'll stay on (battery power, not ignition) if you happen to hit any buttons while it is shutting off.
Just turn the ignition back on and off, you'll be fine. -Frank. |
