My Tach & Speedo Are Reading Too High? Anybody Know Anything

Hey. Well I noticed my tach is reading about 1500 rpms higher then it should be and my speedo is about 5-10 mph higher then it should be reading. Also when the car is shut off the tack stays about about 1500 rpms and the speedo stays at about 5mph.

Im wondering if there is a way to re initialize it or if anyone has seen anything like this.

Thanks for the help

Oh yeah and yes i checked the speedo next to a friend and yes the tach is off for sure.

This is a common problem. The procedure for resetting the gauges is in the owners' manual.

1. Open the door.
2. Press and hold the trip odo reset button.
3. Insert the key and turn to 'on' position.

Needle should zero itself.

The reset procedure is intended to fix the stranded needle only. The speedo reading high is a different problem altogether. And you're right, all the speedos are off, to varying degrees.
