Ok, I tried installing it tonight, but how do I get the wedge thingy in there? Any pointers? I'll look again tomorrow morning since it's kinda dark with the light shining in my eyes but if anyone can give any points, it's highly appreciated. Thanks

I found that sometimes the holes in the black plastic cover don't line up perfectly with the holes in the firewall, which makes it a little harder to install the well nuts. But using the mounting screw as a handle and a small scew driver to push them in should make it really easy... ![]() |

I got this from Steve a couple weeks ago and I just manage to install it last week. This mount look good as it is, very light and the fasterners works great. Haven't actually driven with it yet coz of the weather but it is simple and very easy to install. Awesome product Steve.

I agree, there are probably better mounts for a camera out there then mine when you have a harness bar to mount to.
Don't forget that I initially designed my bracket to mount my radar detector to it, not a camera. Last time at PIR I took my six year old digital photo camera, strapped it to the bracket and ran it in the video mode. The camera has no anti vibration gizmos or anything, and there is quite some vibration at high speed. I was still pleased with the video, given the means I used... Anyhow, I've been out of the brackets for some time now. I had a few inquiries but had to tell them that there are no more brackets left. But I've been contemplating to start one of the "gauging interest" threads to see if I can get a few people together. I'll be out of town for a few days, but I'll start a thread next week to see if it's worth doing one final batch...

Sorry guys!
I just came back from a camping / fishing trip a few hours ago. The weather was "pouring rain and gale force winds" for the first two days. And gale force winds are the last thing you want when you are on a boat at the mouth of the Columbia River... At least it started getting better after Wednesday, but all my gear needs some serious cleanup, and I haven't had a chance to get to put together a thread with pictures etc. yet. Give me another day or two to catch up...
