20 and 21 are for the highbeams (mainbeam for the non-US peeps). The lowbeams (dipped beams) are 17 and 18. I haven't had any issues with the stock 10A fuses, but I thought it'd be nice to supply 15A just in case.

Obsidian, did you get the 8000K? Can you post some pics?

THanks.

Sorry I missed this, I realize this request was from quite a while ago. Once the car is out for the spring I'll snap some pics of the lights. Right now it's in storage. Minnesota winters don't really allow for driving the car through the snow/ice/salt and the tires have never appreciated the cold.

EKO, in what way is your kit different than the Sector111 package? They are both priced very close.

Matt,

I can't speak for Eko but the deciding factor for me was that the ballast and ignitor were one piece with less wiring and Eko has the option of higher wattage kits that provide more lumens output. You can't go wrong with either one as each would be a significant improvement over the lighting we got from the factory

Hi Matt,

When I receive my kit from my supplier, it actually starts off very similar to my competitor's in that you get a 9006 connector with wire leads that terminate to 1/4" metal spade terminals. I cut off the terminals and fabricate my own harness using the factory connectors such that you simply disconnect the factory connectors in your car and plug mine in between. My kit comes with a metal bracket that you can mount to the car using the supplied expanding plastic rivets or you can use the included double-sided tape. My ballast has the ignitor built in so there is one less thing to dangle around. The pair of ballasts weigh about a pound in total more than the slimline ballasts. The higher output of the 50watt ballasts provide 800 more lumens per bulb.

I also notice that you're in NJ. If you're not handy, I can install the lights for you. I'm in Monroe, NJ.

HTH,
Chester

Now, that would just be tooo convenient! How long does it take and how much would you charge me to do it - I could help of course.

Updated the front page to reflect my recent learning of 2007MY cars and no need for a custom harness. I'm not a fan of sticking terminals into the H7 connector, but what can you do? Price of the '07 kit is $340 as I don't have to spend time fabricating the harness for the '05 and '06 cars.

SO TRUE! No regrets here, thumbs up for the ekological HID kit! That custom harness works great as I plugged in the connectors and fired up the lights! This is a must do for Elise/Exige owners.

Here's mine!

That looks hot! ...almost as nice as my chrome orange Thanks for the kind words. A lot of people don't appreciate the harness--not all plug and play kits are the same.

OK... I *finally* unboxed my kit and set everything out so I could have a look at it - yeah, I've had it for weeks but haven't found the time to install it. Despite all the raves, I was expecting at least a bit of buyer's remorse or some form of disappointment, since nothing could be *that* good.

It's really that good.

I pulled the harness out and had a look at it... for me, the most impressive thing about it is that he did it how I'd do it. It's obvious that he takes pride in his work.

Hey Cody! Glad you finally opened the box!!!

I'm glad the kit meets your expectations! It makes me happy when people recognize quality when they see it like when Doma said:

The "competitors" sell a so-called plug-n-play HID kit, but they basically give you a 9006 connector with a length of wire and 1/4 spade terminals crimped to the end. They then tell you to push the stock terminals that plug onto the H1/H7 bulb (depending on the year of the car) onto those 1/4 spade terminals and I guess wrap everything with electrical tape to prevent it from shorting out. I guess you can call it plug and play since you're not cutting any wires... Then again, you can steer your car with your knees if you wanted to... I get the same 9006 connector with a length of wire and I cut off the 1/4" terminals to hook them properly to the factory connectors--all weather sealed, etc. And yes, that's how I'd do it to my car too and so I decided to sell it so others can share in my meticulousness.

Let me know how the install goes!

Is that the 8000K kit that goelise has? That's got a real nice blue tint!

Eko--
Are you in Brooklyn or NJ? Do you do installs for ET.com members? I've got an HID kit that I received as a b-day present back in January. It's still sitting in the box and I kinda want to install it--but really have no idea how to do so myself and don't trust any local shops around here. Interested?

I have the 6000k. Actually its very white with a bluish hint, I can describe it as OEM HID looking. The pics make it look more blue than it is. I have no regrets with the 6000k.

Just received my 6k kit and installed the kit yesterday. Gotta say the difference is night and day, install was a breeze on my '07 and by the looks of the instructions that were provided, a lot easier than previous models. Definitely should have had these lights from the factory. Thanks again ekological!!!

edit: I also had some white 4 bulb LED wedge lights installed on top where the pilot lights are. Now everything matches when the lights are turned on and a highly recommended mod to accentuate the lovely kit that ekological sent. I will post some pics later...
