I concur. That would be the better route

Best,

I hear ya on looking for upgrade excuses! The other day my wife asked me if I was worried about the red dash light (the "SHIFT NOW" one) and grendading the engine. I said "no, these engines are cheap, comparatively."

I was thinking "k20" or "engine with boost." My wife does not like spending money on upgrades until something breaks. Hence the exige clam we've got going on right now.

(side note: wife actually used the term "grenading," and referred to the engine's problems with revs over 8500 - I was so proud!)

On a side note: new motor #2 arrived today (undamaged from shipping) -- hopefully get it running by Sunday night.

I set warning come on at 35 psi. With limited laps, it never dropped below 48 (and I have no accusump, just Moroso oil pan). For these motors I think the Accusump is just a waste of money/weight and an additional potential failure point.

Any details? You have something up your sleeve and I bet it's pretty well thought out... Turbo or supercharger, which one? My bet is low compression 2zz rebuild and midsize turbo. Probably Air/Air intercooler. Am I close?

Good luck with the rebuild. Yes, agree - the Accusump seems like a bandaid with too many fittings and several feet of hose. I have not heard of an oil failure with the Moroso pan. Where did you install the oil sensor? Sounds like you retained the OEM sensor in the sandwich plate.
