I appreciate that you pointed out that the info was 19 months old and that there is new unpublished info. However, your attitude towards people talking about a subject in an open forum on a subject that you have a financial stake in is poor. Your obvious defensiveness will turn people off. It would be to your advantage to learn some diplomacy.

You must be aware that any claims about performance or new technology posted in an open forum will be immediately looked into by multiple people on the forum. By posting, you implicitly opened up a discussion of the topic. If people bring up points, pro and con, old and new, it is up to you to address them in the spirit of an open and friendly discussion. Shinoo is a good example of someone who does this well (at least, from the posts I have seen from him).

You're going to need all the weight in the back you can get when you get your car back! I would opt for two yellow top Optima batteries and a big McIntosh amp back there for good measure!

you think one of those would fit up under the dash?

i still have two MCC 404's lying around... amazing sounding amps if you can get past the fact that they weight like 100 lbs each.

4 lb battery availability

I was about to purchase an Odyssey battery.
When will the 4 lb battery be available and what is the cost?
Should I wait or purchase the Odyssey?

you should purchase an Odyssey since these Li - ion batteries are still too expensive ($700+ range) to justify for the most for now. They are built for the special applications such as the electric vehicles or the purpose built race cars where weight is the biggest issues to deal with.

It's good to know they're making progress with lith-ion. I use the smaller cells to fly airplanes. Lith-ion has revolutionized the backyard flyer industry.

KMS,
Thanks for the info, hope your not sorry you mentioned it.
