TellTale abnormality > immobiliser bypass?

I bypassed my '05s immobiliser module after it left me stranded recently. Since that jumpering process, the rpm/alarm telltale is behaving badly. It always seems to be on faintly, flickering slightly. When I put the turn signal on it will blink solidly and brightly and when the signal goes off the telltale remains on full bright for a few seconds and then returns to its faint flickering state. Thoughts?

you have the immobiliser removed right ?

the wire that connects to the immobiliser to make it flash on and off might be floating, which is causing that behaviour.

the indicators are connected to the alarm unit too, so they're probably feeding back.

just to be sure i'd check for shorts and so on on that immobiliser plug.

Yes, the immobiliser is removed and the pins you suggested are jumpered. Some new observations now that I have driven the car at night. The interior light switch had been in the up/off position and in that position the interior light would flash on with the turn signal. When I put the interior light in the down/on position, the telltale just flashes all the time. The interior light is not coming on when I open the doors and the telltale does not flash with the key out.

I believe the cause of the problem is that the wire from the immobilizer to the alarm module is not connected (#344, to immobilizer pin 4).
Solution to the problem while leaving the immobilizer removed, I don't know .

If the wires are all ok, then its probably floating as i said, the indicators are driving the circuit instead and you're seeing the float the rest of the time

I don't know if its held high or low when the immobiliser is disabled, i'd suspect its low, so in that case i'd tie that pin to ground with a 2.2 ohm resistor, but carefully checking as i went along to make sure its an off (held low) connection.
