Using PCMSCAN/"Mongoose" to connect to an 06 Exige

Hi!
As the title says I am trying to use the PCMSCAN software to connect to my Exige(using an Mongoose ISO/CAN OBD2 cable)
Unfortunately I have only had limited sucess.
I have had to use the selection "Connect only to auxilliary input devices" rather than "Generic OBD-II" to be able to get a connection at all.
Connecting this way, only gives me access to reading and deleting error codes
and only 3 PID's.
I have seen other people here on the forum using this software/hardware, is there anything I have missed in regards of connecting to the ECU properly?

I'd like to set up a proper 'dash' and to do so I need access to all the PID's provided by the ECU to actually get any data.
