'11 Elise SC odometer showing km. Change to MILES?

My US purchased '11 Elise SC Final Edition has an analog speedo with KPH ONLY. (WTF?! I've never seen one without both kph and mph)

The odometer and trip odo are both in km.

Is there a way to change the display to MILES?

I would need to do that /without also changing/ the alternative speed display (which is in MPH) into kph, as that's now pretty important.

(I presume I somehow got stuck with a Canadian cluster?)

Funny, my Canadian '11 SC is in km but the odometer is in miles and I can't figure out how to change it.

There is no way to change it. The characteristics of each instrument cluster is programmed dependent of the VIN.

IIRC, for MY11's, the Elise's & Exige's all default to trip-o-meter and you have to press the black button behind the key ignition on the steering column for it to display the odometer in miles. Hope this helps.

The steering column button cycles between the odometer (unlabeled, but ticking off kms), the trip odo (labeled as km), and the digital speedo (which thankfully is, and marked as MPH).

I tried to change mph to km by presing steering column button next to the key, but unfortunately the only thing I can do is "reset the road counter on current fuel tank"
There is any procedure to hold press few time or other button to do this...?

There is no way for the owner to change from KM to MPH. This a function of the ECU as a result of the programmed VIN. What can happen is that the ECU looses the VIN and the readout changes. A reflash is the only thing that would work.
