Infinity Kappa 42.9i & 52.9i review

Finally decided to upgrade the speakers with the new Infinity Kappa's. This latest model line has two noticeble difference vs. the xx.7i series. 1) The cross over connectors are much smaller for easy installation. 2) The new grill design is a lot cleaner with more black and silver.

Anyhow, here are my observations. The sound quality is a 1000% improvement over stock (which is not hard to top). Lacking of component setup, this is as good as it gets. Installation was simple and direct fit, with the right tools you don't even have to remove the passenger seat. The tweeters on the 5.24" can be directionally rotated for optimal sound projection, although given the lack of interior space of an Elise, it is not a real useful function. They also have a button on it to control the pitch level? (I couldn't tell the difference yet). Overall it was a worth while upgrade, but if you want any real bass, a sub is still needed.
