Looking for a VSS sensor...what cars use our engine?

Hello all..

I want to pick up a VSS sensor to again work on putting cruise in my car over the winter.

What Toyotas or is it Pontiacs? use or used the same engine.

Model and year if you have it....

I am looking for the same....
Help!...Speed sensor for JVC kd nx5000???

I am doing research at junk yards as well...so far....many cars fit the VSS we need...but the closest would be a '93 to '98 Celica....but even Camry's and Tacomas use the same speed sensor

Bought mine at the local Toyota dealer, not cheap - $$$. You'll also need to buy the cheapo plastic gear, a seperate part number.

OK guys...I have a lead on some used sensors.

What I need to know is what is the size of the hole that the o ring shaft fits into...

I have one speed sensor that is like 7/8 and another that is 1 5/16

Does anyone have a real picture of what this thing looks like? I could also tell that way...

above are pictures of what I have a line on...it s tough to get size perspective on these...

t- I'll try to check tonight. I've got the clam up, engine out, and can take some quick measurements for you if that would help...

Best,

Phil

You want the sender for the 7th gen (2000-2005) Celica GT-S. The unit with the shorter shaft is the correct unit.

^give this man a cookie but you don't have to get one for the gt-s you can get it for the regular celica if I recall. Both trans are c series trans so speedo gear will be the same for both. I would say search ebay for this part. It's has a very low failure rate so why pay new??

But which terminal where? They are not lettered or numbered or colored coded.
