Wireless internet
Just thought I would share my troubles this morning. Someone may have already posted this but I did the mod to extend the reach of my key fob by pulling the antena wire out from the loom and leaving it behid the passanger cover. I did not add on wire or anything just pulled it loose from the loom. It did increase my range to abut 30 feet. After words whenever i have the car unlocked in the garage my wireless linksys router would not conect to my computer I had to go in and change the frequency of the router from 3 to 1 there are 6 choices for frequencys. Just thought this might help someone out. I only wasted about an hour thinking my internet was the trouble.

I think the alarm antenna and your internet problems are completely unrelated. Car alarm remotes work at 315MHz, while WiFi works at 2.4GHz and 5.0GHz. There has to be some other cause...

It is related and causeing the trouble I spent over an hour trying diferent setups and with the car locked the internet did not work and the minute I hit the unlock the internet poped up if I take the car out of the garage and get it away from the house the internet is fine. I am positive it was the alarm and I work for the local cable company so am well aware of the frequncy differences but frequency regardless there can still be interfirence caused by any wireless device. I only posted this so if someone else runs into the same trouble the will see what I ran into.
