Wiring for Alpine KTP-445
This was touched on in another thread, but I don't think it was ever definitively answered.
I just purchased an Alpine KTP-445 4 channel amp. This amp plugs directly into the alpine wiring harness, and hopefully should be small enough to fit behind the dash. The issue is that it requires 15 amp power lead run to it. If I'm understanding correctly, the stock radio only has 7.5 going to it. One member said that they hooked it up to the wiper motor line which is switched and on a 15 amp fuse. This doesn't seem ideal to me. If you happened to turn on the wiper when you had the tunes cranked I would assume you could very easily blow the fuse. So my question is, are there any other options? |

This way I will have switched power for the amp, GPS, and Radar detector. I'll post photos as I go. |
