I started year right with a road trip to Deal's Gap. Took off on New Year's day from Germantown, MD.

routes include:

skyline drive; 181 up to Grandfather Mtn.; 221 to Boone; 143 Roan Mtn.; 215 to Ashville; 63, 209 to Hot Springs; 28 to Franklin; 64 to Highlands; 215 to Canton; and 129.

the weather could have been better.
