boston area owners

hi,

going to meet my sister next weekend 4/20 and i want to drive the elise, however i am reluctant because of the parking situation. she does not live in the best area, and i dont trust paking garages. fiqured id ask if i may keep my car at one of your places (safe places!) for saturday, and sunday morning? thankyou.

You can definitely leave your car at my place. However, I am in central Mass. About 20 minutes south of Worcester off of 146 (off the Mass Pike). I'm "on the way" to Boston, assuming you cut through CT, via Hartford. I am about 1 hour from downtown Boston, with no traffic. I'll even let you use my garage spot.

We are having a fun run on Sunday up to Maine if you are interested. Figure Boston to Boston times are around 9AM to about 4PM. Lunch stop included.

I'd let you keep it in the garage in Providence, but you better bring a plastic cover because last time I kept my Lotus in there it got attacked by pine sap!

There are many trains from Providence to South Station in Boston.

details on Mass/Maine Lotus fun run 4/22/07

Lotus Spring Driving Event Sunday April 22nd

... Eastern MA / Southern NH / South Coastal Maine
Scheduled for Sunday April 22nd / weather permitting.

We will all be meeting at the rest stop on the Northbound Side of Route 95...@11:00am. That's just past the intersection of Route 495 and 95 in Seabrook, NH. For folks traveling from the Manchester, NH area on Route 101 you will need to get on Route 95 South until you get to the Route 286 Exit. You want to get off, go over Route 95 and get back on going North. Then pull into the rest area.

From the rest stop we will continue North on 95 into Maine, getting off just before the Maine Turnpike Toll Plaza, in York. From there we will follow Route 1A along the shore past Short Sands Beach, stopping at Nubble Light to check out the Lighthouse and take a few Pictures.

From there we will continue past Long Sands Beach through York proper and head towards Ogunquit. The shore road from York has some great Ocean views as well as some twisties. Traffic should be light mid-April.

From Perkins Cove out to Route 1 North to Wells. Back out to the shore road North through Wells to Kennebunk and finally into Kennebunkport.

We will be stopping at Federal Jack's Brew Pub in Kennebunkport http://www.federaljacks.com/ for Lunch. They have a large menu, the food is great and the Restaurant is big enough to seat us all comfortably. Plan on eating lunch about 1:00pm.

After lunch you can choose to stay and check out the shops in town or start towards home. I will pass out detailed directions at the rest stop in case we get separated. Its about a 90 minute ride start to finish. Rest stops and picture taking will add to that. I will plan a stop for gas in York early on, need be.

***If the weather is questionable look for an early morning e-mail or you can call Jeff Torrey @ 603-234-8898 (any time after 6am).

Please contact Jeff Torrey to confirm (sign up), and let him know if you will have a guest .He needs a head count for Lunch (please) .

Thanks guys... I'm looking forward to it.

Federal Jacks is a great spot. I've been there many times over the years. Have fun on your drive and enjoy the scenery in Maine!
