It looks like I will be in Salt Lake the 26th but not the 27th. Of interest, there is a Lotus Museum in Salt Lake (I've never been and I don't know what it's like) that is available to visit by appointment only.

PLEASE (please?) consider revising your trip to go up Highway 1 north of Los Angeles instead of I-5.

You would add some time... but take the time away from other place.

My 2 cents and I will not speak of it again.

We dont have a plans for roads traveled yet. Just points to stop at. As we get closer (or are on the road) we are going to work that out. Plus if we get to a place and meet up with someone and they suggest a route then we are going to change as we go. We are just going to try to keep the City/Dates that we have on schedule so we can meet up with everyone that we planned to.

I've been lazy but the site that will track our progress with GPS data is up at http://automapic.com:8080/

I have added a journey plan for our trip, and people can add themselves or places to visit. You can use the navigation on the left to turn on or off the planned route, itinerary, people, places etc. Make sure you do it on the Lotus journey rather than the test one, although people can play as much as they want with the latter.

The 8080 port will be removed at some point, but I am currently having a problem with iptables configuration on my server. I will try again with less Heineken when I get back from New York tomorrow. The RSS is also just a plaintext body. It's on the list of things to fix, but we don't leave until April so the site will be updated quite a bit until then.

I don't think the Ajax works too well in firefox < 1.5, but I looked at it on later version, IE 6+7, and Safari and Firefox on the mac and it seems to work.

Ok, there has been a lot of people that want to meet up with us for part of the drive or get a meet going in some of the city's that we are stopping in.

Here is what I have so far.

1. EburgE - wants to meet up with us as we are passing through Baltimore. Please PM me your number and we can setup a meeting place for April 6th on our way.
2. sandsmuseum - West coast drive and meet in San Francisco. Mike, can you organize a meet in San Fran and let me know when and where so we can be there. Will have to be on Tuesday April 25th in the evening.
3. MyFutureSelfnMe - Please PM me with a number if you still want to come so we can figure things out
4. taburton - PM with your number if you still want to Join up from AZ to NV. We will figure out where to meet.
5. nvrblu - PM with your number if you still want to Join up in AZ. We will figure out where to meet.
6. Chicago People - There were 3-4 people from the Chicago area that wanted to get together. Can someone from the chicago area set something up for the 29th PM time so we can all meet up.
7. ghastley - if you are still going to be in vegas and want to meet up let me know.
8. Lotusport- please setup meet in CO and let me know info so we can show up.
9. There was a guy from LA area that owns a restaurant that wants to have a meet there, please let me know if you can set something up for sunday the 22nd.
10. slaughtr - Salt Lake City on the 26th, Please PM me a number that I can get in touch with you when time gets closer. Also, we are going to keep to the schedule really tight so the 26th should be good unless there are issues with one of are cars.

On Monday the 23rd, we will be making a stop at Sector111 and also at Prototype Racing Inc. If anyone in southern CA wants to join up for that let me know.

HRM has decided to have a "welcome home" party for when we get back to NJ, Robert will have more info soon, but all nj/ny/ct people keep and eye out for that.

Also, If I have missed anyone else that wants to meet up, please let me know.

This is a lot for me to try and plan, not to mention that I just found out 2 days ago that my wife and I are moving from NJ to OH at the same time that we are going on this trip!!

Note that April 22nd , just off the I-15 in Los Angeles, we will be autocrossing at California Speedway. Not sure of the times yet, but if you were driving by, it might be of interest to you to stop. I know a few of us will be there that Sunday. Also if there is anything planned that day for later... let me know. I could hang around for it.
