Roadtrip to Humboldt Redwoods
I Went up the coast (101&1) SF to arcata, Ca, the kind of drive the car was made for if it must be driven on public roads.
Highway 1 at Legget down the coast is a good time charlie kind of road with scant evidence of humans. On the way back I drove with a new Z06, for about 100 miles. We had to stop for a road construction break so we had a chance to chat. He said my car sounded like he was at Laguna Seca and I told him it was too loud for their track. He was the coolest vette guy I have met. He said my car looked good in the turns and that he only wished his car could "carve the canyons" the same way. The couple times he got on it, he was real quick to catch up in the straights. All in all over 600 trouble free miles in the Lotus in the twisties, no cops pulling guns, no haters , just great roads. One new set of 048's... well, less new.

The top of 1 is very good as you go back to 101 above Fort Bragg. Well worth the drive up there for the quality of the road.
