where exactly did you find these? I can't find our pictures. I know around one of the turns where there a lot of people, there was a guy with a SLR taking pics of us.

Ara: Check Post #11 for the photo site.

Kerri: It has been a year since I last rode with Claudio – that is terrible news on being hit by the motorcycle. Last time I saw him, coincidentally, I had just been hit by a bike and I was bloody and riding home with a single gear left. Hope he is ok.

I would sleep in since you got in the Sundance ride today. 1,000 accountants in one place, now that’s a party!

I know what you mean on the Cruisin’ ride, but I have yet to re-group for Sunday rides and I like to ride with a group, so this is my chance.

Hope you had a good ride today. I can’t wait to get a Lotus and be a part of this thing. I must go on Lotus Talk 20 times a day to learn about these cars.

HEY!

Here's another Lotus Drive (redux):

I can't ride a bicycle/motorcycle. Left arm is 6 inches shorter than the right!
Talk about frustration!! When I ride a bicycle, it turns left ONLY in circles! Auugh! Stop talking about bicycle rides or I'll get "Postal" syndrome!
The Lotus fits FINE!!

Hal:

I apologize for the bike talk - I didn't mean to distract from your roadtrip. I'll keep it Lotus. I can't get enough of these cars, and as newbie, I am trying to "search" my way through the forum for a while until I can ask an intelligent question in the right thread. Do I get any pre-Lotus points because my Sunday bike is almost entirely CF (15.2 lbs) for lightness (yes, rims too) and built ultra stiff for quickness and handling?

Steve,

Actually, If I could get myself on a bike and ride it, I would LOSE weight, the Lotus would be faster and I would be healthier and live longer too!!

I guess I'll use the fixed bike at the gym. I won't fall down.

Most Lotus owners either ride (bikes or motorcycles) OR are aware of the bike encounters in the mountainous twisties. What scares me (at least for you, Kerri bicyclists) are the "other" drivers who are NOT aware of bicyclists around the next blind corner! Please be careful and safe!

See ya'll tomorrow .... I installed a new set of Pagid RS42 blue pads this afternoon after going to Bimmerfest

Just got back from bedding them in . They are a little squeaky, but boy, they do have better stopping power than stock. Maybe tomorrow's run will fix all the squeaks

I hope you enjoyed the drive!

We had 6 Elises, 1 Exige (Two Saffron Yellows, 1 Ardent Red, 1 Arctic Silver, 1 Chrome Orange, 1 Graphite Gray, 1 Black 72D!) , one white 350Z, one red M Roadster and lots of fun!

Everyone has different opinions of the "pace". Some say it was "granny slow". Others say "crazy fast". Kerri was drinking coffee and reading the newspaper while driving the twisty roads. I will never leave anyone behind! Just drive at YOUR pace and I will wait for everyone at the next transition, turn etc.

I know the roads....and sometimes you don't. Practice the same roads and never push yourself on an unfamiliar road!

Next time, we'll have a route or plan before.

James: What happened to your Elise? Did you have car trouble?
Del: You must get rear tires replaced!
Win: Welcome to the clan! It was pleasure to meet you.
Zaven: You and your friends are ALWAYS welcome!
I did not remember the rest of the group's names, but I appreciate your participation!

After lunch at Chuy's, Terry and I removed the soft top and drove to the wine tastiing place on Mulholland to pick up two bottles of wine. (NO we did not drink the wine) When I was turning into the driveway, we experienced the most terrifying Lotus experience....ever!
We are fine and the Elise is fine too, but I want everyone know there is a dangerous Lotus experience that has to be dealt with...you'll see it in another thread!

Hey Hal,

Thanks for the run today, it was great. Too bad we had a bit of traffic today being stuck behind some slow cars like that Caymen.

I probably need to learn those roads a bit.. following Zaven caught me off guard a bit since neither of us knew the roads.

Radio is definately a good idea!

Towards the middle of your drive you had a '68 BMW 1600 with you also! We tagged along behind the M Roadster.

Simon: Thanks for joining us! Sorry your lunch was late
You have a beautiful SportElise Yellow! The two yellows looked great on the road as well as the parking lot!
Matt: I didn't see you! Where did you start tagging along? I hope we didn't break any laws.

Summer is getting closer and it's time for more Sunday drives!

I noticed you guys right away ! I was the tail radio car (ardent red Elise no top ) most of the way, very beautiful and cool old Bimmer guys ! Yes the pace was hard to set, we had some people new to driving the malibu twisties and some vetrans, I think it was a fairly medium pace personally which was perfect for me. Hal that is bizarre on your seat malfunction, do you adjust it often? Or maybe from the last time you adjusted it for any reason that quarter got caught in the rails and it was holding the seat in place till this afternoon ? I had on incident a little like that when I had adjusted my seat after getting the car serviced, I thought it was in a notched locked position but when I hit the brakes hard it popped to the next notch and scared the crap out of me, always good to really test the seat after adjusting !

I had one scary moment this morning because of my almost dead right rear tire, in a very tight left turn it broke loose a bit, thank god my spring mountain HPD training kicked in and made it a very low key, whooops/ quick correction kind of event vs a spin out !! I knew that tire was not in the best shape, that is why I volunteered to be the rear car, but I probably should not have gone out at all today !

We picked up a beautiful Chrome Orange Exige S purely by chance on PCH, Blake was pulling out of a burger place and caught up to me at the rear and asked if he could tag along, I could hear the super charger whooping every time he punched it, cool stuff ! any pictures anybody ?

Sounds like a good time. I could not have made it today even if I had the time. I should get my elise back from the body shop on wednesday after some minor repairs.

It was fun to have you guys along, when the 350Z & the BMW M dropped back to greet the new orange Exige S it was awesome to hear you guys punch it and take off on PCH, the tunnels were cool too ! One of the greatest things about these meets is that age, race, religion, gender etc go out the window, we are all there for the same reasons - fun sports cars, talking about our cars, California weather and TWISTY ROADS

One of the "older" guys that is sometimes in our group is an ex racer as in - actually raced for Lotus back in the day

I pulled out at the end of Patrero Rd. because I wanted to catch the Laker playoff game starting at 12:30 Sorry about missing lunch, I didn't know you guys were going to do lunch after the drive ....
