I'm still in but not sure how I'll hook up with everyone. I live where the 5 and 210 meet and was thinking about joining in as you all cruised by ...but I'm might just head to 1000 Oaks to join from the start.
No passenger (unless Steve wants to tag along )Not staying overnight ...I have to take care of some business Sunday. - z

IMPORTANT!!!!
If you haven't been on the 5 freeway with a group of Lotus cars, YOU ARE READY FOR AN INCREDIBLE TREAT!!!
![]() ![]() We DOMINATE all lanes. ![]() Most "non-Lotus" motorists are pleasantly suprised, smiling, waving, honking and "THUMBS-UP!" Children FREAK OUT!!!! ![]() Babies SCREAM AT THE TOP OF THEIR LUNGS, terrorized our screaming exhausts! ![]() All in all, it's a positive experience! ![]() And we haven't gotten to the TWISTIES yet! I want to tell you, I WILL NOT DRIVE BALLS OUT ON THIS TRIP! I leave that for the TRACK! We will have MANY Lotus drivers, with MANY different driving skills! Many are carrying passengers who want to enjoy the trip too! Scaring the hell out of your passenger is not cool! ![]() I want EVERYONE to enjoy this trip, and drive home safely! Is you want to drive balls out, your welcome to PASS ME! If so, save a spot for us when you get there! ![]() Is that perfectly clear? THANKS! ![]() See y'all tomorrow ![]() Now........ARE YOU READY?????\ --Hal & Terry

Pictures!
Ok - We had to leave early!
Here's what happened - we met a Lotus of Thousand Oaks (I had a hard time finding it - my satnav is in warranty and some neighboring attendant from the silver star group did not even know what a Lotus is )The group stayed together though a fule stop and a nice drive to the Flying J - where we met up with 2 others! It was hot and sunny and we were taking it easy, having plenty of time and light traffic.

Hi Y'all!
We're at Flyin' J/Best Rest Inn, ready for the trip home. A great Sunday morning, no clouds....Just Terry and I in our '05 SY Elise and April and Eric in their '08 CO ExigeS...
Last night's sky was PERFECT!!! I hope you enjoyed learning the constellations and looked at galaxies, nebulae and star clusters. Jupiter was brilliant as was the Milky Way! Did you see the "Dark Horse"? Look back on this Thread for Scorpius.. There will be a test when we get back! ![]() The roads were clear and the last part to Mt Pinos was fun, until .....well Ara will tell the story.I hoped you enjoyed our trip. We had Eleven Elises/Exiges. 7 Lotus cars did NOT show! ![]() What's the excuse this time? It would have been even more fun with the 19 cars that were expected to show.![]() Otherwise Terry and I had a great time! Thanks for the enthusiasm that our small group had. Please post your photos and your stories! Thanks for Dominick/Kelly photos! See you all tonight on Lotus Talk! --Hal & Terry

Hi All!
It was great seeing all of you. Those who did not make it, the weather was perfect! And those who did not stay over for the Lockwood Valley and 33 run, you guys missed the BEST part of the ride! Well, maybe the second best part if you like stars. It was perfect and Hal and I both managed to avoid attention from the CHP. ![]() I have tons of pictures and will sort and post the pics that are in focus. I haven't posted pictures here yet, so I would assume the best way would be to add them to the gallery section?

Alright, I posted the pictures I thought were worth posting in the gallery section Meets and Events / So Cal Star Trip 2008. I resized all of the pictures to 800 x 600. If anyone wants a full size pic, just ask and I'll send it to you.

Thank you Hal for another great trip ! Your lecture on the stars was informative and entertaining ! Looking that the "upside-down ET" through your telescope was waaay cool !
![]() Everyone was so nice , and had a blast rolling with all the Lotuses ... Thanks Mark for the Hot Wheels car and to Ara and Rachael for making the late night drive home interesting Sorry Rachael for cutting you off ... I didn't see the turn off to the 101 ![]() Also, I think I corrupted my passenger. She told me she took her car up to 100mph on the way home, for the first time ever ! Future Lotus owner?? ![]()
