Fyi: Retitled: Shift Knob differences 05 vs. 06

For anytone who is thinking about ordering a new shift knob tell whover your ordering it from whether you have an early 2005 or a late 2005 or 2006 the early 2005 (before the recall) have a 5mm thread opening and the late 2005 or 2006 have an 8mm thread opening. I did not know this when I ordered and ended up having to do an exhange.

You are correct. Old is 8mm, new is 10 mm.

I have an observation and a request.

Everyone please title threads descriptively and put them in appropriate forums... otherwise people like me who have no interest in the topic waste their time reading them. Titles like "FYI" are impossible to pass up.

(Also, a lot of these threads get moved and retitled by mods... let's make their jobs a little easier.)
