Why mess around with the shifter end and run into all these clearance issues?
I'm not familiar with the gearbox side on the Toyota engines, but can't different length lever(s) be used there? That's how a short shifter is installed on the VX220/Speedster. They do not modify the shifter, but change the control arm ratio's on the gearbox itself. Something like this: http://www.verboom.net/projects/spee...002/index.html Again.. I don't know if something similar is feasible on the Toyota gearbox or not. Bye, Arno. |
