1st Alfa 8c in the U.S.

And it resides in my city Apparently it was registered in late November. Pictures (especially cell) do not do it justice. It's much smaller than you might think.

I guess it's the price of being unique. Same reason the R8 is so darn popular Probably will be sold in very low volumes.

I bet this guy paid a mega premium to get it too...

Here's Jeremy Clarkson's review:

His conclusions:
Beautiful
Great sound
Fast
Terrible handling
Fourteen feet of art

I saw one from a distance at the Motor4Toys event last month here in Socal, also the same red color. Probably the first one in Socal, after this one in NY.

I wonder if this marks the beginning of a full Alfa return to the US.

I think $250k is the spider price. I thought it was priced more in accordance with the F430. Can't see Ferrari letting go for much more than the F430. They're snobs

I saw it in the flesh (Alfa C8 - Lamborghini Forum & Photo Gallery - Talk Lambo!) and it's definitely a beauty. Not sure about the price tag, guess I need to get behind the wheel to form the opinion of it's value.

This car is owned by some Ferrari nut who also owns a custom bodied Enzo.

The 8C was meant to relaunch Alfa in the US but the economy has pushed everything back. It ow looks like if it happens, it won't be for another 2-3 years.

I believe that's the plan - re-enter US market with their halo car followed by their bread-and-butter's.

Unfortunately, those bread-and-butter are FWD

Custom bodied Enzo? The P4/5?

OK... Apparently it is Jim Glickenhaus, who owns the Pininfarina designed Ferrari P4/5. Not that it's relevant, just an interesting tidbit.

That's what I thought too.

But its a limited production car -only 500- so, i guess this explain the high price.
